Affiliate and material-connection disclosure
Last reviewed
Summary
Home Ops may earn a commission if you use a partner link and buy or sign up through that partner. That is a material connection: the company may pay us, and the price you pay usually stays the same. Until a partner program is approved, cards show example picks and official vendor pages, not checkout links.
Disclosure. This note lives in the site footer, in small type. This page is the full policy. Questions: hello@ourhomeops.com.
Where the disclosure sits
The footer says Home Ops may earn a commission when a partner link goes live, and that none are live yet. Official page links go to the vendor. They are not affiliate URLs.
We do not invent rankings, scarcity, or savings percentages. No live Amazon, Impact, or CJ link ships on these pages.
How we pick
Home Ops chooses tools both parents will open for the same household jobs:
- Both will open it. Will the other parent open this product on a normal Tuesday?
- Shared access. Can both see, and ideally edit, the same calendar, list, meals, or vault?
- One place for the job. One shared week, one cart, one dinner plan, one family vault.
- Skip what is already working. Google Calendar and Apple Notes stay the free baseline when both of you already use them.
- No new login for its own sake. If the current tool is already open on both phones, keep it.
Commission does not override that. Featured cards are tools worth discovering. Named products are example picks. No “#1 for families” claims.
What you will see
| Surface | What we show |
|---|---|
| Hub | Who it is for, where things fall apart, how we choose, then a path for each job. Google Calendar and Apple Notes stay in the collapsed list |
| A week apart | A short note that links the same reviews. It is not the front door |
| Tool review | A real product screenshot where we have one, the verdict, who it is for, who should skip, the public price, setup, what to put in it, one check, one downside, the next job, and the official vendor page |
| After partner approval | Approved partner links, with this disclosure still in the footer |
| Always | Email to hello@ourhomeops.com. No consulting funnel and no software pitch |
Editorial independence
We do not invent case studies or stats. Partners do not write the copy. We may drop a partner that one of you will not open.
Pins, social, and email
If a destination includes affiliate compensation, we use the platform’s paid-partnership label as required, plus the on-site disclosure.
An email that includes a partner link will say so in the note.
