Cozi is the app when the week and the grocery list have to live in one place.

Who it’s for

Both phones, Apple or Android, on one family login.

Who should skip

Skip it if a shared calendar is already the week.

Setup on both phones

  • Install it on both phones.
  • Send the family login.
  • Turn reminders on for each person.

What to put in it

  • A color for each of you. Pickups and appointments go on those colors, so the week shows who is where.
  • One shopping list. I add the milk. The other parent checks it off in the store. On Gold, Shopping Mode drops checked items to the bottom. Cozi’s plan page calls that a Gold feature.
  • Reminders on both phones. A calendar only one of us opens is not a shared week.
  • Not the school password. That stays in the vault.

Checked against TimeTree

TimeTree is the calendar when the lists can live somewhere else.

The downside

The free app shows ads, and month view sits behind the $39 Gold plan.
